In website administration, sometimes you will forget the password to access the admin page. Or sometimes you need to change your password for added security. So how do you fall into this case? In this article, Chuyencode offers you a few ways to solve this problem.
Change password when the admin is still able to access the backend site.

Step 1: Access your website backend with the current account => Choose User => Your Profile
Step 2: Scroll down the page then click on Generate Password button to

Change the password within remember the registered email
Please follow the steps below
Step 1: Go to the wp-admin site, then click on Lost Your Password link.
Step 2: Enter your username or email address, then click on Get New Password button.
Step 3: Login to the email that you used at Step 2, then click on the link to confirm to reset the new password.
Step 4: After entering the new password, please click on Reset Password button
Change the password from the database
Step 1: Access to the FTP or cPanel account => choose File Manager
Step 2: Choose Domain => domain.com => public_html
Step 3: Click on Edit button corresponding to the file wp-config.php
Step 4: Make a copy of the username and password to access the database.
Step 5: Choose phpMyAdmin to log in the database according to the account copied in Step 4
Step 6: Choose the database of the website that you want to change the password
Step 7: Go to the table wp-users
Step 8: Click on Edit button to continue. At column Function, row Password just chooses MD5. After that, at column Value, reset the new password.
Step 9: After that, scroll down the page, click on Go button to proceed.
